CHINESE NEW YEAR - Night of the Lantern

WEST VANCOUVER MEMORIAL LIBRARY

Panelist speaker, Cooking Demonstration & CNY Catering

22 February 2019 - West Vancouver, BC

Celebrating multiculturalism at the West Vancouver Memorial Library, driving culture, understanding and integration in our community. The West Vancouver Library is a key pillar to the West Vancouver community. It is truly one of the most innovative, forward thinking and community driven library I have ever experienced in all of my world travels and living. So fortunate to share on this Night of the Lantern as a panel speaker on Chinese New Year traditions and celebrations, demonstrating the making of the traditional food "Tang yuan", glutinous rice balls as well as serving up Chinese New Year treats to all who attended.

"Culture makes people understand each other better. And if they understand each other better in their soul, it is easier to overcome the economic and political barriers. But first they have to understand that their neighbour is, in the end, just like them, with the same problems, the same questions." Paulo Coelho
